This section of my portfolio is dedicated to just a few of the many projects I completed during my time in high school. This includes assignments for classes as well as commissions from the school staff, as I had made a reputation for myself in the community as the student to ask if you needed a video done for an upcoming assembly or school announcement.

Despite it having been a long time since I made the videos featured below, I am still quite proud of how they turned out and the milestones they represent in my journey as a creator. Even though I was still in class learning about what I was doing with programs in the Adobe suite, I made a lot of progress really fast.

"Keep Your Station Clear" Kinetic Typography Project

Using audio from Disney Pixar's "Ratatouille", I developed an accompanying moving text and graphics animation to fulfill the requirements of a grade 12 assignment I was given. I have done many similar projects for clients outside of school since but this video's quick-paced comedy through movement still gets a chuckle out of me to this day.

"Oh Hi School" Media Arts Culminating Project

The final project I made for my grade 12 Media Arts class. It was meant to be a culmination of all of the program experience I had gathered throughout the past 4 years. So decided to make a YouTube style "Story Time" animation centred around some of my favourite moments from the earlier years of my high school career. My stories, my animation, my writing and my voice are all on display here.

The Creator

After exploring my abilities in frame-by-frame animation with projects like "Boardwalk Icecream", I wanted to see how far I could push myself when given full creative freedom on my next assignment. My video "Oh Hi School" gives a good summary on how "The Creator" came to be, but to give my takeaway from the experience here: When I set my mind completely to something, I can go above and beyond even my own expectations.

These are a collection of videos I created at the request of various teachers and counsellors at Bishop MacDonell. My quality of work has grown exponentially since then but I find it important to keep these projects here in my portfolio to show the longevity of my time editing videos for clients.
